A “so Florida” thing to do is coming up this week, but it’s going to be a late one.
If all goes according to plan for SpaceX, the space agency will send another batch of Starlink internet satellites into space from the Sunshine State. The rocket launch window, however, starts just after midnight.
The SpaceX rocket launch may be visible from the Treasure Coast.
October 2025 rocket launch schedule: Is there a Florida launch today? Upcoming SpaceX, Blue Origin, NASA missions at Cape Canaveral
Though rockets here launch from Kennedy Space Center and Cape Canaveral, Florida, an hour east of the Orlando theme parks, it’s possible to see this “so Florida” thing far beyond the launch pad. Depending on cloud cover, weather and visibility, people from Jacksonville, Daytona and New Smyrna Beach to Vero Beach, Fort Pierce and Boca Raton might see a nice streak in the sky or the SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket.
In addition, when there’s a launch window in the middle of the night or very early morning, there’s an opportunity for unique photos — the rocket lights up the dark sky and the contrail after makes for a great photo.
Below are suggestions on where to watch rocket launches from this area, a real-time weather radar to check for rainy conditions and other things to know. If there are changes to the launch schedule, this story will be updated.
