Now that summer break is over, the clock is racing toward Halloween. And Spirit Halloween wastes no time getting the spooky season started as early as August.

Empty storefronts across Florida have already transformed into the iconic hub for scary costumes, decorations and all things Halloween. In total, there will be almost 100 locations in the state this year.

Here’s when and where Spirit Halloween stores open in Daytona Beach, as well as other Florida locations across the state and what you’re in for if you’re seeking a Halloween-themed Labubu plushie.

What months of the year is Spirit Halloween open?

Brick-and-mortar Spirit Halloween stores start opening in August. Some have even been reported to open as early as July. Many in Florida are already open for the 2025 Halloween season.

Most stores usually close within the first week of November, but “die-hard Halloween enthusiasts” also can shop online year-round.

Is there such thing as a Spirit Halloween Labubu?

If you’re rushing to the nearest Spirit Halloween store in search of a horror-inspired Labubu, odds are you’ve been fooled by a one of the multiple viral TikToks with view counts of over a million each.

The video, posted by @simplybuu on TikTok, shows the “new” plush toys featuring Halloween icons like Chucky, Jason Voorhees and Jack Skellington allegedly offered at the stores. However, in the comments and link in bio, it is revealed that the creator is the one who offers the customized items.

Spirit Halloween does not have any Labubu collectibles listed on their website, as of Aug. 20.
