It’s no secret that many leftists are a little fed up with the Democratic Party right now.

Two such leftists happen to be the hosts of the podcast I’ve Had It: former Bravo show hosts Jennifer Welch and Angie Sullivan.

On Tuesday’s episode of the podcast, the two welcomed Senator Cory Booker (D-NJ) for a conversation about politics.

In a now super-viral clip from the episode, Welch asks Booker about Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. “Do you think he’s a war criminal? Benjamin Natanyahu. Do you think he’s a war criminal?” Welch asks. Reuters reported that Israel has killed over 67,000 Palestinians in its destruction of the Gaza Strip over the past two years, a third of them children.

“I — again, these are, these are questions that a lot of people think are the important litmus tests, that are loaded and hot,” Booker says.

“My urgency is to be an effective leader in bringing an end to this crisis, and I get these questions all the time that, to me, undermine my urgency.”

“I think the thing that Democrats get so frustrated with where we are right now, where you see, like, the Zohran Mamdanis and the Graham Platners rise up,” Welch responds.

“Because they can go on podcasts and you can say, ‘Do you think Benjamin Netanyahu is a war criminal?’ And they just say, ‘Yes.’ And that’s the end of it. It’s not all of the rhetoric answering,” she continues.

“It’s like what happens to Democratic politicians, they go through this, like, prism, and then we can’t ever get, like, the answer to yes or no conversations like we do with Bernie and others,” Welch says.

Booker starts to talk over her, but she continues: “And that’s the frustration for the Democratic party.”

“Do I think Netanyahu is worse than Trump? Yes,” Booker says at the end of the clip.

People very quickly pointed out that Booker may be hesitant to call out in plain terms Israel for its relentless bombing of Gaza for the past two years because he has accepted nearly $900,000 from AIPAC, an extremely influential pro-Israel lobbying group.

“laughing at the idea of dem staffers finally embracing non-traditional media, lining up a podcast interview they think will be a resist-lib layup, only to get their boss totally eviscerated because they don’t understand the base anymore,” this person wrote.

Another user echoed the same sentiment, saying Democrats might go on I’ve Had It “expecting softballs from wine moms and instead absolutely disqualifying themselves in front of the 2028 primary electorate.”
