The remnants of Hurricane Melissa brought heavy rain and strong winds to much of Connecticut on Thursday, causing fallen trees and flooding that has closed several roads across the state.
Here’s where road closures have been reported as of Friday morning:
Barkhamsted: Route 318 is closed at Fenn Drive as of 3:45 a.m. due to a tree down with wires involved, according to the state Department of Transportation.
Durham: Route 17 or New Haven Road is closed at Coe Road as of 5:20 a.m. because of a downed tree, the DOT said.
Greenwich: Town officials reported several road closures. Officials asked residents to contact 203-622-8004 to report roadway issues or concerns.

New Canaan: West Road was closed between Woodbridge Drive and Greenley Road due to wires down in the roadway Thursday night, according to the New Canaan Police Department.
Norwalk: The Norwalk Police Department reported several road closures on Thursday night.

East Avenue was closed from Fort Point to Winfield Streets due to flash flooding

Meadow Street at Wilson Avenue is closed due to flooding.

Williams Street closed between Lighthouse Lane and Dairy Farm Road due to flooding.
Redding: Marchant Road was closed between Umpwaug and Chestnut Woods roads due to utility wires down in the roadway, according to the Redding Police Department. Police said the utility company Eversource has been notified.
Stamford: The Stamford Police Department said heavy rain has caused major flooding across the area and affected 37 roads, including South State Street, Elm Street, Canal Street and Jefferson Street.
Suffield: Route 75 is closed at Mapleton Avenue as of 10:50 p.m. Thursday because of a downed tree, the DOT said.
