One military-member spouse detailed how the number of people waiting for food had increased in the last few weeks. “When we first started coming, there definitely wasn’t this amount of people. It was a lot, but it wasn’t this amount, to where it wrapped around the building… We were here last week, and we were in line for, like, two hours.”

One food pantry department head told the reporter, “On a normal week, we usually run out of food around 1:00 in the afternoon. Last week, we ran out of food at about 10:30.”
