President Donald Trump said that law enforcement had a suspect in custody in the fatal shooting of conservative influencer and Trump ally Charlie Kirk.
“I think with high degree of certainty, we have him in custody,” Trump told “Fox and Friends” Friday morning, adding that he believes someone close to the shooter turned him in.
Still, the president emphasized that he was just sharing information “based on what I’m hearing,” and that he is “always subject to be corrected,” saying he had heard the news just minutes before going on air.

According to Trump, a minister “who is involved with law enforcement” saw images the FBI released of the suspect yesterday and turned the person in to law enforcement, ending a two days-long search for the conservative star’s shooter.
Law enforcement did not immediately confirm the arrest via social media but FBI Director Kash Patel is scheduled to hold a press conference at 9 am.
