President Donald Trump blasted his political foe, Attorney General Letitia James, as âscumâ while calling for her removal from office in a scathing Truth Social post.Â
âCorrupt Letitia James is costing New York State Hundreds of Billions of Dollars in lost business. No company or individual wants to be there, knowing that sheâs the âAttorney General.â She is a Complete and Total Disaster, who tried running against Kathy Hochul for Governor, and only got 1% of the Vote in Polls, and QUIT,â he wrote Saturday.Â

The president then accused James of going on a âwitch huntâ against him and others.Â
âShe then went back to her WITCH HUNT against President Donald J. Trump, and others,â he continued. âUntil this âSCUMâ is removed from the Attorney Generalâs Office, no company will move to New York, and few companies will be using the New York Stock Exchange, or NASDAQ, for going Public.â
Trump went on to claim that the new Texas Stock Exchange will result in âhundreds of billions of dollarsâ being taken away from businesses in New York.
âThe new Texas Exchange will be taking ALL of this business away, and weâre talking Hundreds of Billions of Dollars!,â he added, referring to the forthcoming Texas Stock Exchange that will be headquartered in Dallas following the SECâs approval Tuesday.

Trump coupled his scathing comments about James with a screenshot of a Fox News report that claimed Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac will soon shutter their New York offices due to Jamesâ âcorrupt and dangerous business practices.â
Jamesâ office didnât immediately respond to HuffPostâs request for comment.

Trump and James have been publicly clashing for years.
Jamesâ office has filed multiple lawsuits against Trump and his administration, including a civil fraud case involving Trump over-valuing his properties in financial statements. Trump was ordered to pay more than $500 million, but a New York appeals court later threw out the civil fraud penalty against the political leader.
Amid Trumpâs second term in the White House, the Department of Justice has brought several subpoenas against Jamesâ office. The DOJ has also accused James of mortgage fraud.
