Trump pledges ‘Democrat-oriented’ layoffs as government shutdown continues

As we enter day 11 of the government shutdown, the White House has followed through on its mass layoff threat, sending notices to over 4,000 government workers. According to the Trump administration, Friday’s lay offs are “just a snapshot” and more will be coming. Meanwhile, President Trump has said the administration intentionally moved to lay off “people that the Democrats want.”
