PRICEVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — The Priceville Police Department says two women from Tennessee were arrested Saturday morning on multiple drug charges.

On Aug. 23, at about 1 a.m., officers with PPD stopped a vehicle on I-65 near mile marker 334. Officers identified the people in the vehicle as Kaitlyn Renea Darnell, 31, and Kathy Sublett, 63, both of whom are residents of Clarksville, TN.

Following the initial traffic enforcement, a narcotics investigation was initiated.

PPD’s investigation led to the discovery of marijuana, a methamphetamine/fentanyl mixture and drug paraphernalia within the vehicle.

Both women were then arrested and taken to the Morgan County Jail.

PPD said during the booking process, jail staff found that Darnell hid an additional item of drug paraphernalia in her undergarments.

Darnell is charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, second-degree promoting prison contraband, and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

Additionally, a hold was placed on her for a felony arrest warrant related to motor vehicle theft issued by the Guntersville Police Department.

Sublett is facing charges of trafficking in dangerous drugs, second-degree unlawful possession of marijuana, and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

A Morgan County Circuit Judge has set Darnell’s bond at $80,300, while Sublett’s bond has been set at $105,300.
