According to U.S. News & World Report, Delaware has an estimated GDP of $103.3 billion and a median income of about $42,639. The state’s population totals 1,051,917, with 44.7% holding a college degree.
To determine the best states for 2025, U.S. News & World Report evaluated all 50 states across 71 metrics within eight categories, using the data to measure how effectively each state serves its residents in various aspects of life.
Neighboring New Jersey ranked 19th, Maryland ranked 20th while Pennsylvania was closer to the bottom at 41.
