WILLISTON, Vt (ABC22/FOX44) – If there’s one thing the Snyder family loves, it’s competition.
“We have seven children,” says Phillip Snyder. “We spent a lot of time with those big family game nights, competition is a big part of what we do.”
That love has since grown into a successful business venture.
The couple co-owns and operates two escape rooms in Chittenden county – Escape Room 60.
Sarah Snyder says the idea came to them while on a family vacation.
“We played an escape room together and were like, Vermont doesn’t have one one these – it needs one,” she recalls.
Now, with countless family game nights and excape rooms under their belt, they Snyder’s are taking to the national stage – competing on the first episode of Fox’s newest game show 99 To Beat.
“You take 100 people, put them in a warrior-style arena, and it’s all about not finishing last,” Snyder explains.
With a million dollars on the line, the Snyders say they’re excited to go out and give it their all as a family.
“There ended up being twelve of us from our extended family which was fun. I might take a couple children off my will once this airs,” Snyder says jokingly. “It’s all in good fun, and we’re excited to see how has bragging rights at the end.”
You can watch the Snyder’s battle it out Wednesday, September 24th at 9pm on FOX44.
