Few hours to the deadline of transfer window, Nigerian striker, Victor Boniface, has completed his medical tests at Werder Bremen, in a potential move to the Bundesliga side.
The development comes after AC Milan abruptly pulled out of a deal for the talented forward last week.
“Victor Boniface has just completed his medical tests at Werder Bremen,” transfer insider, Fabrizio Romano, announced on X on Monday.
Boniface, who had been on the cusp of joining the Rossoneri, saw the transfer collapse due to recurring knee injuries, a history that has plagued his career.
He was reportedly recently forced to miss the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations due to a muscle injury.
The 24-year-old returned to training with Bayer Leverkusen last week but was omitted from the matchday squad for their thrilling 3-3 draw against Bremen last weekend, fueling speculation about his future.
