The Iowa City Press-Citizen Student of the Week poll has returned for another round of voting.
Each week, Johnson County high school principals and faculty are asked to nominate students who excel in and out of the classroom.
The public can vote at press-citizen.com until noon on Thursday, Oct. 2. The winner will be announced on Friday, and an accompanying story will be published in the Press-Citizen.
Students from public and private high schools in Johnson County are eligible to participate.
Iowa City Regina Catholic High School senior Howie OâRourke was the most recent Student of the Week.
Here are this weekâs nominees:
Tyler Dehart, Iowa City Liberty High School
Tyler Dehart is a senior at Liberty High School. Dehart is involved in several extracurricular activities, many of which he demonstrates strong leadership in, such as being a dance captain for Libertyâs varsity show choir, Storm, and co-directing a student-led play, âSLAP.â Dehart also strives to be his best academically, with a 4.28 GPA, participation in Kirkwood dual enrollment classes, and multiple AP courses.
Not only has Dehart succeeded in the school building, but he has also put in many hours serving the wider community. He recently surpassed the benchmark to receive Libertyâs highest service award, the Silver Cord volunteer recognition. Despite his long list of accomplishments, Dehart is also notoriously humble, according to Liberty High faculty.

Anna Greenlee, Iowa City West High School
Anna Greenlee is a senior at Iowa City West High School. She is a third-year member of West Highâs student newspaper, âThe West Side Story.â Greenlee holds three leadership roles on the staff, serving as the opinion, entertainment, and design editor. Recently, Greenlee was named one of the 10 finalists nationwide in NSPAâs Multimedia Journalist of the Year contest.

Lily Nibaur, Iowa City Regina Catholic High School
Lily Nibaur is a junior at Iowa City Regina Catholic High School. Nibaur is involved with many activities at Regina, including yearbook, volleyball, track, softball, and the musical. Nibaur is also dedicated to philanthropic causes, helping with free lunch programs, Houses into Homes, and as a lector and eucharistic minister at her parish. In addition to other activities, Nibaur is enrolled in courses at Kirkwood Community College and multiple honors courses at Regina.
â(Nibaur) has provided great leadership as a community captain in helping implement the Regina Community System,â said principal Glenn Plummer. â(Nibaur) is able to balance a high level of competitiveness and drive with a genuine concern and care for others.â

Evan Stucky, Iowa City High School
Evan Stucky is a senior at Iowa City High School. Stucky is a dedicated band student who has stepped up in leadership this school year, as a section leader for the percussion pit section in marching band, principal percussionist for the Wind Ensemble, and as a mentor to underclassmen percussionists in concert band. Stucky is also focused on practicing his All-State audition materials, in addition to an already busy fall season, while finding ways to make a positive impact on City Highâs band program.
âWe are so proud of (Stucky) for how he has stepped (up) in big ways for our band family this year,â said principal John Bacon. âHe is constantly wanting to find ways to make a positive impact and do anything that he can for our band family â we absolutely love his undeniable dedication to our program.â

The Press-Citizenâs Student of the Week is a weekly contest throughout the academic year. Polls will open on Mondays and close on Thursdays. Students from public and private high schools in the Iowa City area are eligible to participate.
