Voting for Coolest Thing Made in Wisconsin begins Sept. 22. Here are Green Bay-area products on the list

From 3-ply paper towels to Skee-Ball alleys, some northeastern Wisconsin products have a chance to be crowned as the next coolest thing made in Wisconsin.

Wisconsin Manufacturers and Commerce and Racine-based Johnson Financial Group have released the 148 nominees that will compete in the 10th annual Coolest Thing Made in Wisconsin contest. WMC says the contest showcases the state’s $73.1 billion manufacturing industry and its career opportunities.

Voting for the contest begins Sept. 22 on the Made in Wisconsin website. The top 16 vote-getters will move on to the Manufacturing Madness part of the competition, where they compete in bracket style matchups until a winner is declared.

Products from Brown, Marinette, Shawano and Door counties make appearances on the list of 148 nominees. Here’s the companies and products representing the local area.

Oct. 2-7: Top 16 face off in head-to-head votes
Oct. 9-14: Top 8 face off in head-to-head votes
Oct. 16-23: Popular vote to pick the winner
Oct. 23: Winner announced live during WMC’s annual Business Day event in Madison
