A Wall man has been arrested in Virginia on charges that he sexually assaulted an 89-year-old woman in a senior assisted living and memory care facility while visiting his family members, Prince William County Police Department said.
Harold Leon Edwards II, 67, was charged with aggravated sexual battery and object sexual penetration, the police said in a statement.
Officers went to Paramount Senior Living in Manassas shortly before 8:45 p.m. Friday on the report of an assault.
Staff at the facility told police they found an unknown man, Edwards, in the woman’s room.
The victim did know Edwards, police said.
Detectives determined that Edwards had sexually assaulted the woman before he was discovered by staff, police said.
