The Olu of Warri, HRH Ogiame Atuwatse III, has announced the extension of application window for the annual Ogiame Atuwatse III Itsekiri Students’ Bursary and Scholarship Scheme to August 31st, 2025
The extension is aimed at meeting the targeted 1,000 beneficiaries as well as “to enable more target-communities nominate eligible Itsekiri students”, according to a statement by the Sole Representative of His Majesty, Ogiame Atuwatse III and Liaison to NNPCL/JV Partners, Prince Edema Collins Oritsetimeyin, in Warri, Delta State on Tuesday.
The statement disclosed that so far, “a total of 746 candidates were shortlisted at the close of the application window”.
“Consequently, in a bid to meet the targeted 1,000 beneficiaries, the application window has been extended to enable more communities nominate eligible Itsekiri students”.
“Each targeted-Itsekiri Community in Warri Federal Constituency, Delta Central Senatorial District and Edo State, have been given August 31 deadline to submit three eligible Itsekiri students, who are indigenes of their respective communities, to be included in the final batch of beneficiaries of the Ogiame Atuwatse III, CFR Itsekiri Students’ Bursary Scheme”, the statement explained.
It added to be eligible each candidate “must be an Itsekiri indigene”, “must be in 200 Level or above” and “must submit Admission Letter /Transcript, alongside any other supporting academic documents.”
The Office of the Sole Rep of the Olu of Warri to NNPCL further advised the target-Communities “to cross-check the current shortlist to avoid resubmitting names of students, who have already been selected”.
“Duplicate submissions will not be considered”, the statement emphasized just as it reeled out names of the target-communities as including those from Warri South Local Government Area, Warri North Local Government Area, Warri South-West Local Government Area, Sapele Local Government Area, Okpe Local Government Area, Uvwie Local Government Area, Udu Local Government Area, Ethiope East Local Government Area as well as some Communities in Edo State.
