The Texas-Oklahoma Fair hit town this week, bringing aromas of delicious fair food wafting through the Multi-Purpose Events Center.
Funnel cakes doused with powdered sugar are an enduring favorite food at fairs such as the Texas-Oklahoma Fair continuing Friday and Saturday.
It’s your chance to grab a deep-fried Oreo, a cheese and soft pretzel combo, or a funnel cake snowed under by powdered sugar and perhaps crowned with strawberry, chocolate or another extra topping at the fair hosted by the Wichita Falls Founder Lions Club.
The T-O Fair continues through 10 p.m. Friday, and the hours are 1-10 p.m. on Saturday, the last day, according to organizers. General admission is $10, and admission is $5 for military personnel with an ID. In addition, the fair offers $30 carnival wristbands for all day.
Fairgoers have a chance to snag a sweet cloud of cotton candy at the Texas-Oklahoma Fair running Friday and Saturday at the Multi-Purpose Events Center in Wichita Falls.
The fair also offers rides, games, music and wrestling shows along with tempting munchies.
Other favorites on offer to fairgoers this weekend range from turkey legs to caramel apples, corn dogs, cheese fries and clouds of cotton candy. The list goes on.

You can wash it all down with lemonade or soda. Bottles of water are also for sale if you’re focused on staying hydrated during the fair fun and not just on pleasing your tastebuds.
