The format and the speakers haven’t yet been announced, but a public memorial service for Charlie Kirk was scheduled Sept. 21 at State Farm Stadium in Glendale.
“Join us in celebrating the remarkable life and enduring legacy of Charlie Kirk, an American legend,” Turning Point USA said in a Sept. 13 X post, the social media platform formally known as Twitter.
Doors were expected to open at 8 a.m., according to the organization, and the program was to start at 11 a.m.
Kirk had built a conservative movement in the past decade that far outgrew the college campuses where it began.
He was fatally shot while speaking to thousands of college students at Utah Valley University on Sept. 10. Kirk was 31.

What is Turning Point USA?
Kirk’s Turning Point USA and affiliated organizations combined influencing, fundraising and grassroots organizing. They grew into a political force that played a key role in Trump’s reelection.
He was beloved by the right for energizing a new wave of conservatives on college and high school campuses with a blend of policy chops and faith. He also was controversial for promoting views that the 2020 election was stolen, for his stance on COVID-19 and his disparaging comments on Martin Luther King Jr. and gay people.
Erika Kirk, in her remarks Sept. 12, said the movement launched by her husband would carry on in his memory.
She reiterated her commitment in an Instagram post Sept. 13.
“They have no idea what they just ignited within this wife. If they thought my husband’s mission was big now…you have no idea. You. All of you. Will never. Ever. Forget my husband @charliekirk1776 I’ll make sure of it.”
A Turning Point spokesperson said Sept. 13 it had received thousands of inquiries after Kirk’s death on how to start new school chapters of the organization.
How was Kirk’s body returned to Arizona?
Vice President Vance and his wife, Usha, escorted Erika Kirk and Charlie Kirk’s casket back to Arizona Sept. 11. His body was transported by Air Force Two from Salt Lake City, Utah to Phoenix.
A motorcade escorted his casket to Hansen Mortuary Chapel near Seventh Street and Northern Avenue.
