Which are the best colleges in Oklahoma? These four were named among the best by US News

U.S. News and World Report ranked over 430 colleges and universities nationwide on 17 different factors, including graduation rates, first-year retention rates, peer assessment and borrower debt.

The survey notes the variety in Oklahoma’s secondary education options with public and private research universities as well as small liberal arts schools.

While Princeton University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), made the top spots of the list across the U.S., four schools in Oklahoma landed in the top 300, with the highest just shy of 100.

Here are the best colleges and universities in Oklahoma, according to U.S. News and World Report.

Which are the best colleges in Oklahoma?

According to U.S. News and World Report, the highest-ranking college in Oklahoma is the University of Oklahoma.

The school ranked 132nd in the nation, a tie with Clark University, Fairfield University and Loyola University Chicago. The school also ranked 68th among the top public schools.

The school is well ranked for its undergraduate engineering program, ranking 98th nationwide. The Norman college also ranked 6th specifically for petroleum engineering nationwide.

What are the top colleges in Oklahoma?

Aside from the University of Oklahoma, three other colleges were mentioned in the nation’s top schools.

Here are the best colleges and universities in Oklahoma:

  1. University of Oklahoma (#132 nationwide)

  2. University of Tulsa (#179)

  3. Oklahoma State University (#196)

  4. Oklahoma City University (#296)

Oklahoma State University ranked at #107 for the best public school nationwide. There was no ranking created specifically for private schools.
