A Wisconsin man was sentenced for stabbing a woman inside a Logan Square laundromat in 2023, according to court documents.

The stabbing happened in October 2023 inside a Logan Square laundromat in the 2200-block of North Milwaukee Avenue, police said.
Luis Lira-Hernandez, of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, was charged with stabbing a 25-year-old woman, police said.

Police said the victim, stabbed in her chest and both legs, was taken to a hospital in critical condition at the time.
Lira-Hernandez was arrested in March 2024 in the same area where the stabbing happened.
Three years after the stabbing, he pleaded guilty to charges of attempted murder and aggravated battery.
He was sentenced to serve ten years at the Illinois Department of Corrections.
